Two things:
1 - there is a setting in iMS for overriding the ColdFusion default timeout
for templates
2 - if you are using cfx_imsmail to send the mailing then bear in mind that
the tag should be used with a query for the list of recipients. Recipients
are grouped by domain automatically in the tag.
Other than that I don't see why 50K mails would be a problem...
