Not sure.  One comment, though...

I think that clearing out the cf log files is *very* important to server
administration.  Unlike most servers, the cf server does not hold the log
files open.  What this means is that each time a new entry is written to the
log file it needs to be opened then a seek to EOF needs to happen, then a
write and finally a file close.  This takes up valuable CPU time and the
larger the log file the more time this will take (especially on a fragmented
drive).
