It should work. We run a standard ISP style partition setup, which means in 
our case that iMS is on the E: drive and it runs with no problems at all.

m:\spool???? It really was the m: drive I assume ;-)

Did you stop and start the CF server after you changed to the M: drive? the 
CFX_iMSMail tag was probably loaded into ram and did not get a refresh when 
you changed the directory.
