Hi Howie,
Thanks very much for the quick response, I continue to be impressed with
how quickly you can turn these things around.
But there seems to be a slight problem. The volumes reported from the
log files don't appear to match the volumes reported in the stats files,
but perhaps there is more to this than meets the eye.
When I run the log analyser on the SMTP log file for yesterday the
records for one particular domain show:
Recipients
[EMAIL PROTECTED]=32 (2414856 bytes)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]=22 (13805916 bytes)
Senders
[EMAIL PROTECTED]=7 (12167 bytes)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]=17 (1549508 bytes)
In the SMTP stats file however the entries for thedomain.com.au are:
[Tallies]
thedomain.com.au=52
[Bandwidth]
thedomain.com.au=5502276
I would expect the SMTP stats to be a summary of the SMTP recipient data
at least, so showing:
[Tallies]
thedomain.com.au=54
[Bandwidth]
thedomain.com.au=16220772
Which makes a big difference in terms of charging and reporting...
Am I missing something or interpretting things incorrectly? I can send
you both files off-list if you would like to see them.
Regards and Thanks,
Brett
