This is strictly off topic for this mailing list, but I thought there might
be someone on the list with the answer to my question. Please respond off
list, directly to me, so we don't get everyone all "excited". Thanks for
your indulgence and help in advance.

I'm getting a warning message in my event viewer, saying I have too many IP
addresses bound to the same network card. I have 64 IP addresses assigned
to me for this one server, (running NT 4.0 SP6a and IIS 4.0) and I've been
assigning each domain their own IP address. Consequently, once I exceeded
32 IP's bound to this machine, my through-put has gone into the toilet with
a resulting 5-10k/sec transfer rate instead of 100k+ rates.

What is the trick to assign multiple domain names without needing multiple
IP's for each one? I tried simply removing the IP's from the network
card's setup area, but that prevented me from accessing those websites, so
that's not a good way to go.

I'm sure the answer is in virtual domains somehow, but I'm not enough of an
NT guru to know what I'm doing wrong here.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Now back to the mail server list topics...
