All,

FYI... concerning this issue I emailed you. It is not in any way inFusion.
It appears that when we set the Date: in the the header, MS Outlook 2000 and
MS Outlook 5.0 (5.5 is fine) for some reason were taking the -0500 (central
time US with daylight savings time) value and subtracting 5 months from the
date. So, for today June 13, 2001 Outlook would interpret this as Jan 13,
2001 (June - 5 months = January). We noticed that Outlook Express 5.5,
Eudora, Excite Web Mail and Hotmail all interpreted the date correctly, but
Outlook 2000 nor Outlook Express 5.0 did. I saw the -0500 and thought...
"could it be that for some reason it sees -0500 as 'subtract 5 months and
zero days'" and sure enough...I commented that line out, sent mail to all
these clients and all clients had the right date. I did this 4 or 5 more
times and every time the date was correct. I then added the line back in
and the first email Outlook 2000 and Outlook Express 5.0 had the wrong month
again! I repeated this again about 5 more times and every time Outlook 2000
and Express 5.0 displayed the wrong date while Excite, Express 5.5 and
Eudora all displayed the date correctly.

Thus, our deduction is that Outlook 2000 and Express 5.0 have a bug in them
that appears to have been corrected in Express 5.5 (have not tested Outlook
XP as of yet).

Best,
