Well, I figured out what I was not doing. I
didn't specify the DNS server numbers. After doing this, it worked just
fine. I have to specify an outgoing server, as we run our mail server in
our department seperate from the campus, so in order for us to send outgoing
mail, we have to specify the schools outgoing mail server. Kind of screwey
but what we do, we have to do this way.
Anyway, thanks for the ideas. I would not
have figured it out, had you not mentioned the log files.
thanks,

mail
Normally you would not fill in the Outgoing
Servers field as this causes the POST Server to send mail only through another
mail server and not directly (which is normal). Try deleting that and
restarting the POST Server (also check the log file for errors).

Subject: [iMS] unable to send
mail
After installing the iMS and properly
configuring it. I went to test it but this is not working. I
looked over everything that I have done to see if I have made a
mistake. I have stopped and restarted the POST. All the proper
fields are filled out at the bottom of the Post tab, outgoing server, Auth.
User/password. What is it that I am not
doing correctly. I have done this before but can't think of anything
that I did differently.
