Well, we were caught yesterday with a bad backup and a bad RAID Array. One of the
drives in our mail server RAID went belly up
yesterday. No problem, you say...RAID will keep going along happily until you replace
the bad drive. Yes, this is usually true
(I've seen it work) but as bad luck would have it, the bad drive killed the array.

OK, so now you're saying, no problem - load from tape.

Well, after doing a multi-hour reconfig of the ARRAy I found that the tape was also
bad. So, to make a long story short, I've been
in the office since yesterday. Things are almost back to 100%. In a few minutes -
I'm outta here.

Sorry for the disruption in mail service.
