This is not an answer as to whether there is a bug but an aside really :-)

We have seen so many failures to yahoo, hotmail, et al, that we have given
up sending mail in bulk to them, things will always break. This doesn't
mean that if there is a bug in the code it should not be fixed but we have
skipped the whole hassle and now send in small batches to them so they are
less likely to throw a wobbly in the middle.
If we are doing a bulk mail thing we separate out the webmail engines and
treat them differently so we get better error handling and them we can
clean the eddress databases better.
