iMS sends a DNS request (UDP) and waits for a response from the dns server. If the
reply is not received within the specified
timeout then you will see this. Try setting the timeout to a higher value like 45 or
60 seconds. The recommended settings (we use
these) are:
60 seconds for MX timeout
multiple DNS servers (comma-delimited list of IP addresses).
MX Caching - 1000
