here is a simple code we used sometime to check the integrity of the db related to the files stored.. Note that this will delete some files that are not on the db or delete records with out files. The code will need modifications in some cases. It will depend on how you system works

(please don't make me responsable if you get something erase with it that was not suppose to be erase.. check the code before running it)

this means the .mail file does not exist

the reasons for this could be:

mail files where moved or for some reason it was register on the db and the phisical file is not there (this a classic when there is no more space on hd). IMS Op validates this and if there is not file it sends an email to the administrator.

we have a code if you want it that checks for all the files to be register on the db and and all the records on the db to have existing files on the hard drive. We use to run this to check the "mail integrity" ones in a while because we had our domains/ code in some how buggy but now is error free :) every email is handle in some way so no data is loose.
