OK, I see what's going on now. Previously, I had cfx_imsmail inside a
loop, viz,

<cfloop query="IPList">
<cfx_imsmail smtpto="#email#" header_from

and I recently went to complete tokenization, viz

<cfx_imsmail query="IPList" queryfield="email" header_to="<:smtpto:>"
parsetokens="yes" qtoken_ClassName="ClassName" qtoken_id="id"
qtoken_Contact="Contact"

which explains the difference.

What strategies do folks use to help manage disposition of bounces?

best,  paul
