Thanks again for your help. I have some further questions, if we have our
message retry timeout set to 8 hours, but after that timeout the "mailbox
full" message is still returned from the external server. Would the POST
server then call the template for a permanent failure, or does it still
consider the failure temporary?

Also, how accurately does the POST server differentiate between permanent
and temporary failures? I ask because I have noticed some servers return a
"550 permanent fatal error" for an exceeded mailbox quota.
