There are two ways to get email addresses into the cfx - SMTPTO and QueryField.
SMTPTO is a comma-delimited list of email
addresses. If you are running a query and want to use those addresses in the email
then you use the QueryField parameter. So, if
you want a custom email without a query you use smtpto and tokens. If you want to use
email addresses from a query then you use
QueryField and QTokens.
The QueryField="email" is telling the cfx tag to get email addresses from the query in
a column called "email." If the query was
"select eaddr from users" then the parameter would be QueryField="eaddr"
