Seriously, I struggled along with CFPOP for a while and then when we switched to iMS 
it became a moot point since all the mail data was already in a DB.  Since then I've 
not had to write anything that has to use CFPOP to another mail server (lucky for me). 
I'd probably check out one of the CFX replacements (they cost money I believe).  
Actually, knowing myself somewhat, I'd probably pick up the free CFX_TCPIP tag (or 
whatever it's called) and write my own POP3 client using that  :-)
