Subject: [iMS] posting messages

I use infustion mail server 1.5 and am having difficulties with it sending messages out.  it was working until a couple months ago when the server had to be rebuilt.  anyway, its  Win2000k.

i dont understand what information is mandatory in the Post part of the server configuration?

For iMS 1.5 you need to have DNS servers assigned (for the POST Server to do MX lookups).  I would also enable the MX cache.

also, do I need to have a specific service running on the machine in exclusion to the server.  I've read through all the documentation without any help.  i need to be walked through of what it is exactly that i need and dont need.

The iMS POST Server is standalone - you don't need any other services running.

BTW - I would check the log file to make sure that the license is valid.  If not, then let me know off-list.

HTH,

Howie

thanks
