I'm currently running a single-threaded (developer) version of the POST server,
version 2.2.4. My server box has both a cable-modem and DSL connection to the
Internet. The DSL line has a static IP address, which is what my webserver's
DNS points to (the FQDN I use in the POST settings). That line also appears to
be the 'primary' connection to the Internet.
Here's the curious thing. If I use the CFX_iMSMail tag to generate normal mail
into the Out folder, as long as the DSL connection is open, I get Socket
Error2--Connection Timed Out errors trying to connect to remote servers (yahoo
and mindspring), but as soon as I disconnect the DSL connection, the mail goes
out normally over the cable modem connection.
Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening? Does anyone else have any
problems sending mail via a DSL connection? Any insights would be greatly
appreciated.
As always, thanks in advance for your terrific support.
All the best,
REM O-
