Just to clarify: What I suggested below is in fact the case in my setup, so maybe it's the same deal with yours, Paul. Try logging in with the normal domain account at the same URL you use to log in as the system manager, minus the "/admin." That does the trick for me, and I confirmed that I can't log in as a regular user at the "/admin" URL.
