But if I set the smtpfrom to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
my client has configured the mail server to forward
every email     sent to domain.com to his account, this
would still be an issue.

WARNTO and FAILTO are only used by the POST Server for sending messages.
You can set the SMTPFROM to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and then the email server should just toss the mail (our mail server is
coded to toss mail to NULL accounts).
