Tokenizing of those variables in POSTFAIL is currently considered a limitation.  The 
intended purpose of the POSTFAIL
template is to provide administrators with a way to design custom failure messages to 
users.  For example, we have
clients that create custom messages in Spanish which includes information about the 
email that failed.

We may look into enhancing the functionality of the POSTFAIL/POSTWARN templates in a 
future iMS release.
