If the header is defined as a form var then the header exists in the email and iMS is 
parsing it.  I can't comment much
more because I don't have the email file (the header could be blank).  Try making a 
copy of the email file (when the
header is blank) in cfml or using the RFC822Attachment parameter of the cfx_imsmail 
tag to send you a copy.  Once you
have the actual email file then you can see what is in it to cause this.

One other note - the inLog function truncates text that contains a double quote so if 
your header has a double quote as
the first character then you won't see it in the log file.
