At least for my local Eudora 5 (OS=NT4 sp6a), setting the Eudora user name as "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" will not SMTP Authenticate because Eudora changes the user name to "paul.smith" and then iMS cannot find the domain name for the account.

However, if I change the user name to "paul.smith%support.net", SMTP Authenticate works, after I change the top of smtpauth.cfm from

<cfset atsign=find("@",form.SMTPAuthUser)>

TO:

<cfset atsign=find("@",form.SMTPAuthUser)>
        <cfif atsign is 0>
                <cfset atsign=find("%",form.SMTPAuthUser)>
        </cfif>

best, paul

If the template is not being called then the client is not even trying to authenticate.
