It depends on a few things. For example, if you are willing to run the iMS server on
non-standard ports then it can definitely coexist. For example, the POP server on my
personal machine is running on port 109 for testing (instead of the standard port
110).
If you want to run on the standard 110 and 25 (smtp) then it depends on the other
server. iMS allows you to have the services bind to all IPs on a machine or a single
IP. If your other server can bind to a single IP then you can have iMS bind to the
other and they will run at the same time.
