Thanks for the offer. I did in fact sort the one hour log file and read through it. Everything looked okay as far as I could tell. But I was not 100% sure what to look for other than long running requests which I did not see.
I'll send the file to you, thanks for the offer.

There are many reasons why someone would see what they perceive as a low rate of delivery. The most common are misconfiguration, low available bandwidth and being RBL listed.
I also stated yesterday that using CF tempates (ReportPostStaus, for example) will slow down mail delivery as iMS needs to turn over processing to ColdFusion. Our benchmark tests were performed on a LAN and no CF templates were utilized. The emails sent were roughly 2k in size and were sent to a single recipient. All of these criteria have been published and the benchmarks only show potential maximum delivery and do not take into account the many other factors that would be encountered when sending email over the internet.
I asked several times for Brook to sort his one-hour log file and take a look at it and see if anything looked strange. I never heard anything in regard to that request. I'm not picking on Brook but if the requested investigation is not done or not reported back to me then there is little that I can do.
Brook, if you want to send me that one hour log file then I'll analyze it and let you know what I can see as far as a bottleneck.

Howie

- So far in the past couple of weeks I've heard that people who us IMS-SE and people who use Professional version can mail approximately the same amount per hour: 20-25k. I agree with Brook that the difference between the test results listed in docs and the real results from the users are to big to be simply dismissed as a result of the "real world factors". I really hope that it is result of misconfiguration on the developer's end and I would hope that sooner or later somebody will come up with ideal configuration settings and present it to the group (hopefully the same info will appear on the site too).
- Best wishes to all,
- Dmitry.
