OK, looking at the FusionMail announcement list app, it looks very basic.
The functionality, as far as I can tell, is
-- manually add e-mail addresses
-- send messages only from within the FusionMail template
For my application, I need this functionality:
-- Handle subscribe/unsubscribe requests via e-mail
-- Handle announcements out to the list via an e-mail sent to the
server by an authorized sender
-- Block e-mail sent from unauthorized senders
-- Intelligently handle bounces
I take it this is pretty much functionality I need to build myself, and I
need to dig more deeply into the available documentation to do this better,
but before I got far down that path, I wanted to make sure I was
understanding things correctly. Any pointers, plans for action, from people
who have been down this path before would be appreciated (eventually, I'm
also going to need to build a CF-Talk style e-mail discussion list, too).
