We are running into problems with text attachments losing their line
breaks when decoding messages. This happens regardless of the client
sending the files to the iMS mail server.

=== CONFIG ===

inFusion SMTP Server version 2.4.5
inFusion POST Server version 2.4.5
inFusion POP Server version 2.4.5
inFusion Scheduler version 2.4.5
inFusion Relay Server version 2.4.5

CFX_iMSMail (cfx_iMSMail.DLL) version 3.3.2
CFX_ODSMIME (cfx_odsmime.dll) version 2.8.7
cfx_servicecontrol.dll (cannot determine version)
iMS COM Automation Object (iMSMail.dll) version 1.0
Support DLL (ODSSupport.dll) version 1.3

=== ====

The process is (Listserv implementation):
====
+ receive email with attachments

+ Loop over the LIST of attachments and DECODE each separately (we need
to write the mime types and store the file in a specific location)
====

It seems like cfx_ODSMIME doesn't recognize DOS line breaks on their
own, and simply leaves them out. Unix and Mac line breaks seem to be
going through just fine.

Looking at the .mail file I can see the line breaks preserved, but the
attachment file that is saved to the HD loses these line breaks.

Does anyone have any insight into what the problem may be?

Also all outbound emails sent with CFX_IMSMAIL that have attachments are
encoded using "base64". Is there anyway to control this? Most mail
clients that we have tested send out text/plain files as 7bit encoding.

Thanks for any help!

.brett
