The biggest gotcha with setting up FusionMail accounts is including the domain name in 
an alias.  A domain should have one or more aliases - for example:

domain.com
domain2.com

A user account should *not* include the domain in the alias.  So, for [EMAIL 
PROTECTED] the alias should simply be joe.
