Problem...
Do you have the kill.exe utility? You can use it to kill any
running process by entering the process name or the PID. I have to use this
occasionally to kill IMS because I experience the same thing when the server
is under heavy load.
I can send it to you off list if you want
it.

Hi, I have yet another
problem. Whenever I try to restart POST, the server just hangs.
POST stops running, but doesn't enter a 'server stopped' in the POST log, it
just stops putting entries in. The iMS Configurator locks up
frozen. SMTP and POP continue to run, however. Even if I end
task on the iMS Configurator, the POST server in the Services Control Panel
still says 'Stopping'. I have given it as much as 15 minutes and still
it hasn't stopped. I have to reboot the server to get it to start
again. This has happened multiple times. Any ideas? Thanks, Dave
