Howie, This morning I found the SMTP server stuck in some sort of loop, running 99% CPU. I could see memory for the process cycling up and down during this occurance. I tried Pausing the process via the configurator, then tried to Stop the process via the configurator with no apparent effect. I got called away for about 40 minutes, when I got back the SMTP process was gone and the configurator showed it as stopped. The SMTP log entries showed:
12/16/2003 09:10:35 AM [1025] WARNING: Server paused - 1 active threads 12/16/2003 09:11:11 AM [1026] WARNING: Server paused - 1 active threads 12/16/2003 09:11:21 AM [1025] WARNING: Server paused - 1 active threads And the above lines showed in the middle of processing two emails. The email on this server is fairly slow right now, about 1400/day. I have not cut everything over to this server fromt he old just in case something like this happened. Any ideas? The SMTP server version is 2.6 Btw, This is the first time I have seen this since I first installed roughly 6 weeks ago.
