New description:
The default boot process is very verbose and filled with WARN: and
sometimes
FAIL: messages, especially during shutdown. These messages rather look
like
debug output. (initng_error.c->failsafe_print_error).
Imo it would be saner to log this messages to a log file and make this the
default. If a user wants this messages he can add a bootparameter like
verbose
or alike.
In addition if a service couldn't be started successfully the output looks
like
this:
80% daemon/hal [starting]
81% daemon/hal [started]
== Erromessage ===
82% daemon/hal [stopped]
As already said, suppress this Errormessage and display something like
this:
80% daemon/hal [starting]
82% daemon/hal [failed] (in red or something alike)
