Sorry for responding late. But I think you should give the reddit Inkscape
community a spin. It *like* a forum. But not quite a forum. It's reliable
though.

If the Inkscape developer community starts showing some love, I'm sure
it'll become a vibrant community. What it can't be used as though, is a Q &
A site. For that I recommend StackExchange. By using existing platforms, we
save ourselves a lot of time and we could reach out to the community
better. What do you think?
