Well, we have this extension, where you click on the image, and you don't 
get the download.  You get the image.

You have to click on the External link to get the download.

But I think I see what you mean.  If there's no file, and there is an 
external link, the link is getting applied to the thumbnail.

I might test it later, just so I understand it.  Right now, we have some 
kind of an issue with those images which look like a gray piece of paper 
with a jagged white line across the middle (on the first page of the 
gallery).  Apparently they aren't really images.  I just made a bug report, 
at Martin's request.

But I think I'll wait a little while for that to get cleared up, before I 
try a test.
