As Xavier pointed out, there is a page at wiki [1] that we are working on
these days to help translators without much experience. There you can gain
some information about translations of Inkscape.
For now, as we are in hurry to finish translations, please if you could
begin with interface translation as described in Interface Translation
section[2]. The file you need to work on slovak translation is sk.po. The
page[2] mentions how to get this file and also how to translate and test
it. It is priority to have user interface and maybe also default.svg ->
default.sk.svg translated.

help with some terms, there is a good chance that at least one of
