Hi, As you probably know gettext apps merge same translatable messages into one msgid to save translators a fair amount of time. But in some cases this behavior is not desirable, becase one English word should be translated differently. I've come across one such case today: src/filter-enums.cpp:51 (Blend mode: Normal) src/ui/dialog/inkscape-preferences.cpp:439 (Dialogs on top: Normal) Do you know of other such cases, so we could make a list and separate them in source code?
We can separate them using the msgctxt feature. :) msgctxt "Blend mode: Normal" msgid "Normal" msgstr "" msgctxt "Dialogs on top: Normal" msgid "Normal" msgstr ""I've already submitted info about using msgctxt in Xavier's bug. [1] Msgctxt is one of the newer gettext features. So mentioning cases like this supports its use.
