<Update>: Martin has restored the contents of the published page, which seems to have been quite a difficult task. It seems he also found the reason for the problem, which is with django-cms and its support for the revision feature. The drafts of all translations of the home page, however, do not contain any valid plugins.
For the time being, please do not: - edit the front page - use any kind of reset feature (revert to live, Undo, Revert (in History)) I don't know yet if it may be possible to repopulate the drafts with contents from the published page (I fear that trying it will probably cause the shield to disappear again). Editing other pages should be okay.
