Hi,

I am currently trying to build a package to access an SAP system ( Inspired by Brian's
talk at the German Perl Workshop ) using a third party library supplied by SAP AG. (
http://www.sap.com ) using Inline::C.

I have scoured the Inine::C-Cookbook, and there have been many helpfull examples that
I have more or less directly plagiarised from inorder to develop a routine that
returns a reference to a complex nested hash ( also with nested arrays ). This works
just fine in the script context, but when I work it into the package context I end up
getting segmentation faults when I, for instance, use Dumper to print out the complex
structure.

Has anyone got any pointers on what sort of things to specifically look out for when
trying to bind third party libraries using Inline -eg. an easily accessable example -
that might help me understand what I'm doing wrong?

I can supply all the code - but unfortunately unless you have access to an SAP system
it is fairly meaning less ( these are the problems with closed source systems :-( ).

Thanks.

Piers harding.
