Ah... I'm guessing the fix is straightforward--Call the ExtUtils
postamble, then append your stuff.

Yes... This is my situation. A patched version would let me test my
stuff until you get an official version out. I don't mind waiting
on my release until you implement the general fix, as long as it's not
*too* long. :)

Great. I made this change, and will look forward to another patch and
eventual public release.
