I am using version 0.30.  I thought 0.30 is the latest version.

Interesting; that's line 1155 in the version I have.

My line 858 (in the most recent version of Inline, 0.43) reads:        
*installed, $o->{CONFIG}{_INSTALL_},

and it's in write_inl_file.
