As far as I know, Neil Watkiss and Larry Collins are supposed to be collaborating on Inline::FORTRAN. I currently use C "wrappers" to incorporate my FORTRAN libraries and FORTRAN source codes into Perl via Inline::C based on tips I learned from Larry. It is not pretty but it works great. It would be a lot nicer if it were in module form.
Larry is guru behind this technique but unfortunately he owns his own business (check out www.tmpinc.com) so he has very little time for this effort. I guess I'll have to "buy" him some beers at Hooter's since they just opened up a new one in Arlington, TX where they are giving away beer because they were denied their liquor license. I just can't remember who they are specifically. I've always yearned for this module, because I think it would really propel Perl forward, and least in government and academic realms. But alas, for now there is no such binding for Inline. <To the mailing list>: If anyone is still interested in putting an Inline::Fortran together, please let me know what I can do to help.
