He's free to have that opinion.  I think he would like to see copyright
law extended to cover cases like this.  This is clearly consistent with
both the spirit of the GPL and the FSF's political goals.  However, RMS is
not a lawyer and you did not pay him for legal advice.  There is a big
difference between someone's unqualified opinion of your rights and your
actual, defensible legal rights.

I'll say it again, and this is the last word from me on the subject: if
you want to know your rights under the GPL or any other software license
you need to hire a lawyer.  There is no substitute.
