Dear all, I'm looking for the best way to combine Perl and Java for a networking application.
In a few words: I have a set of Perl scripts on a server and I want to develop an application that would allow anybody to run the scripts. I was thinking of developing a small GUI in Java (which would be downloaded and installed by the user) that would gather some information from the user and send it to the server to be processed. The server would then return some simple text files via e-mails once the job completed. So, I would need to know if it's an appropriate way to consider the things and if anybody has any experience with starting Perl script remotly from Java. Any help is welcome. Thanks a lot, Etienne.
