Never heard of it before...looks interesting, but, having been bitten by pTk, I'm reluctant to rely on "single-source" GUI API's, esp. those that don't exploit a platform's native GUI. I actually prefer the native platform look/feel (ala wxWidgets & SWT). If wxPerl were better documented, and had a more active community, I'd go that way.

At this point, for platform-independent-code with
platform native look/feel, reasonble documentation,
and an active support community, SWT looks to be the best solution.
GUI's seem harder to get right than OS's and compilers
(kinda like the difference between video and audio:
15 fps video with a little noise is fine, but a single
missed sample in an audio track freaks me out)
