I've seen some mentions of this on various mail archives, but nothing on CPAN.
Does anyone know if there's a false-start laying around somewhere?
Barring that, what's the trick? Does the fortran code have to be embedded in C in order to translate back and forth between perl variables?

This turns up 14 results, some of which may provide you with a few leads - including, hopefully, the one or two "false-starts" which have definitely happened in the past.
