I see that the perl.inline newsgroup/mailing list is quite active, but the Inline module on CPAN has stagnated. In particular, I just installed Inline, and discovered the same problem which was reported/fixed in posting 1820 on perl.inline, in Nov. 2002.
Which bug is that ? (Sorry, I couldn't track it down from the info you provided.)
Why has the code on CPAN not been updated?
I think because Brian is more interested in his YAML and wiki projects.
The webpage at http://inline.perl.org seems moribund, too - there's dead links and lots of blank pages.
Same reason, I suspect.
Anything we can do to help?
Probably - though I'm not sure exactly what :-) It will be interesting to see what Brian and Neil have to say on the matter.
