You can, but it's a little more tricky. Mailing [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(an address given in the message headers) gets the instructions:

    You can start a subscription for an alternate address,
    for example "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", just add a hyphen and your
    address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word:
        <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

    To stop subscription for this address, mail:
        <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>


so using that syntax with = should be sufficient to construct a message that
will unsubscribe your old address.
