It looks like Neil hasn't released an Inline::Ruby since July 2002.
Personally I can't build it either, because the ruby on my machine
(OS X Tiger) looks even more broken than Inline::Ruby is. =(
I'm guessing it would be a relatively straightforward patch to get
the do_chomp problem fixed, though, if someone were able to take a look.
