Subject: Inline::CPP v0.33_007 released.
Developer's version 0.33_006 was never released to CPAN, so don't look for
it.
Inline::CPP developer's version 0.33_007 has been released to CPAN. I
don't expect it to fare any better in the smoke testing. The most
significant change is to 00load_prereqs.t: a new "diag()" message that
prints out where Parse::RecDescent is actually found (assuming
00load_prereqs.t finds it, which it seems to always manage to do).
Sounds a reasonable start.
In those failing smoker reports, I expect it will be found in that
"Parse-RecDescent" folder that's specified in PERL5LIB, but missing from
@INC.
But wherever it is, at least you'll then be able to say to the the testers
"It's here ... how come your smokers don't find it ?"
Now we should be able to look at the failure reports and see both
@INC, and the actual location of Parse::RecDescent. Maybe that will
clarify what's going on... or maybe we'll still be scratching our
heads.
It's a pity that it's being left to the Inline::CPP maintainer to sort this
out.
I was hoping that, by now, someone who understands the perverse things these
smokers apparently do, would have come forward with some assistance in
unravelling it.
Cheers,
Rob
