Hello, Thanks for working on this patch. I think it will be a good improvement to ITK.
What I think should happen is that we should be being with a little design review and interface design. Perhaps getting some of this information down on a wiki page? Based on what I have seen this patch is going to need a bit of work to get it ready for prime time ITK. I tried is out on my system and when I began testing it, too many threads were spawn and the OS killed all my processes. Then when I ran just one test at a time there were segmentation faults too.
