Is it me, or has the list lapsed into what Simon & Garfunkel have been
getting out of?

... Sounds of Silence

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of SILENCE

As we all know, the walls still and increasingly speak.
Isn't the last verse an interesting take on the "writing on the wall" of the
Bible.

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway
walls
And tenement halls"
And whispered in the sounds of silence

Maybe it's just that I am of the era to remember being stirred by these
guys!

Lyrics. Who hears lyrics these days?
The majority of 'singers' seem to think that straining their words (like
they have bad constipation) is the equivalent of 'delivery'.

Gosh, I sound just like my parents did when I was a teenager!!!!

Hmpfh!

Peter
