Like Tom, I have also received an unsolicited e-mail from
Rangeville UC! and I suspect that they have gained access to either Synod
directories or the UCA e-mail list and are using them / it contrary to the
various lists rules.
I have responded directly to them and asked that my name be
removed from their lists as I do not want in any way to be 'counted' as a
supporter of the anti Proposal 84 lobby!
I also note that their site is called "Moving Forward ..." but
it appears that we can only move forward if we agree with the very biased
material that appears on their site.
In '97 in the WA Synod we spent much time encouraging people
to engage in 'respectful conversation and listening', unfortunately many members
of EMU, the Reforming Alliance and now Rangeville UC are again promoting the
belief that unless you agree with us you haven't heard what we are saying. Like
many I have listened, and am weary with listening!
